Faculty of Pharmacy hosts a renowned scientist within the Fulbright program

We are proud to announce that the Faculty of Pharmacy is honored to host professor Yashwanta Pathak from the American University of South Florida. Thanks to the Fulbright scholarship program, the renowned scientist will stay at our faculty for the next three months. He will host lectures for students and academic staff in the field of Nano drug delivery within the faculty as well as the whole Masaryk University.

Professor Yashwant Pathak holds over 25 years of experience in both commercial and academic sphere He has held several positions as dean, research specialist, guarantor of graduate programs, chair of several research groups in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and nursing, and now holds the position of Vice-Dean at the University of South Florida. He is an internationally recognized researcher and educator in healthcare education, nanotechnology, drug delivery systems, and nutraceuticals. At the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Pathak will mainly focus on the topic of nanoparticles, lead his own course, and is also open to providing lectures or consultations for students and staff from other faculties or the public. Also, thanks to his rich experience in publishing and editorial, he offers cooperation and consultation in the scientific literature publication field.

Prestigious Fulbright scholarship programs funded by the Czech and US governments provide Czech citizens with the opportunity to study, conduct research or teach in the US, and allows Czech educational and research institutions the opportunity to recruit teachers or scientists from the US. Professor Pathak will be in Brno for three months and is opening a hybrid course "Nano Drug Delivery: Present and Future Trends". In the course, this outstanding expert in the field of nano drug delivery, will guide the participants through the current trends in this field, share his research, and explore the areas such as safety, bio-interactions and the rational use of nanoparticle systems as drug forms.
