Same as students in bachelor’s and master’s study programmes, PhD students can also apply for any of the mobility programmes offered by MU, as well as the Scholarship Programme Supporting Mobilities of PhD Students at the Faculty of Pharmacy, MU.
This programme is established by the Opatření Farmaceutické fakulty Masarykovy univerzity č. 6/2021.
The scholarship can be awarded to any PhD student going abroad for a study stay or a traineeship in the minimum length of 30 days.
Application is submitted via the Document office in the IS:
The following documents must be attached to the application:
The scholarship consists of a stay allowance and travel allowance; the total amount therefore depends on the length of the stay and the distance to the host institution.
Living expenses: daily rate of 700–1,000 CZK/day.
Travel allowance based on the distance between the home and host institutions:
The distance is determined using the EU Distance Calculator.
There is no legal entitlement to the scholarship, and it may not be awarded in full; the award of the scholarship is subject to the availability of sufficient funds.
Applications are accepted throughout the calendar year until the allocated funds are exhausted; scholarship applications are processed in the order in which they are submitted.
In accordance with the Strategic Plan of the Faculty of Pharmacy Masaryk University, priority is given to mobilites taking place at universities ranked in the TOP 300 QS World University Rankings at the time of application.
Before going abroad, please create a study stay / internship record in the IS:
IS > Student > During Studies > Internships and Stays
The LA is completed in collaboration with the host institution. First, fill in the header and send it to your supervisor abroad, and then forward it to the faculty coordinator to add information regarding credit recognition and signature.
The course “Study Stay Abroad” will be recognized into your studies with the assigned number of credits (based on the length of the mobility) after your return from abroad, so please do not enrol in it in the given semester.
If any changes occur during your mobility (e.g., in the programme of the traineeship or the length of your stay), you must notify the International Office at the faculty and update your stay record in the IS.
After you complete your mobility, you will need to submit a document Confirmation of Placement and submit a request for recognition.
You can download the document here and ask your supervisor abroad to fill it in and sign. Then send it to the faculty coordinator to add the recognition information and signature. Finally, you will upload the completely signed document in the stay record in the IS.
Afterwards, you will submit a request for recognition of the couse: FD1INT_FAF Study Stay Abroad, with the assigned number of credits (as stated in the Learning Agreement and Confirmation of Placement).
Detailed instructions on how to submit the request for recognition are available here.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to the faculty coordinator (contact information below).
One of the novelties introduced in the new Erasmus+ programme is the possibility of realising short-term doctoral mobilities as a traineeship placement.
Participation conditions:
Financial support:
The student will be given a grant from the funds for the Erasmus+ programme on the basis of a signed Grant Agreement.
The grant is calculated on the basis of the anticipated length of the mobility:
The grant serves for only partial coverage of costs, being only a contribution to the increased costs linked to a placement abroad – the financial contribution of the student is assumed.
The student is also entitled to a travel expenses allowance based on the distance between the sending and receiving institutions (you can check the distance here), with the amount ranging from 28 to 1 735 EUR.
The financial support can be increased for students with special needs and students from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds.
Call for applications is open once a year from 1 April to 31 May for mobilities carried out in the following academic year so, it's important to plan the traineeship well in advance.
The programme is administered entirely by the Centre for International Cooperation MU (CZS), you can find detailed information on the CZS website.
