For more than 20 years, Peter Kollár has been committed to experimental pharmacology and the mechanisms of action of the substances studied. Together with his team, he is currently looking for ways to enhance the effects of anti-tumour immunotherapy in combination with other substances.

The Vice-Rector's Award for Excellent Results in Doctoral Studies also goes to the Faculty of Pharmacy

We are proud to announce that a team consisting of David Švestka, Pavel Bobáľ and Jan Otevřel received the prestigious Vice-Rector's Award for excellent results in doctoral studies for the year 2024/2025 at a ceremony on Thursday, 6 November. These outstanding scientists carry out their research work at the Department of Chemical Drugs, where our students can meet them during their studies. We wholeheartedly congratulate them for the award and wish them continuing enthusiasm for their research, and bring you their statements outlining their work.

From 11 to 14 November 2025, Masaryk University (Komenského nám. 2, Brno) will host MUNI PhD Career Days, an event focused on career opportunities after completing your Ph.D. Expect inspiring talks, networking, CV consultations with the MUNI Career Centre, and tips on postdoctoral positions and job opportunities. We especially recommend the “Empowering Your Career After the PhD” block on Tuesday afternoon.
