Graduation ceremony of the unique class 2025
On Friday, 20 June, we celebrated the newest Masters of Pharmacy, our graduating class of 2025.
In November, our representatives flew to Miami, USA to establish cooperation and discuss opportunities for joint scientific activities, knowledge transfer and also exchange visits with representatives of Larkin University College of Pharmacy.
A new science story is unfolding in Miami. Larkin University, a center of excellence in medical education, has joined forces with our Faculty of Pharmacy at Masaryk University. This collaboration brings a breath of fresh air to the world of pharmacy and creates space for international research and development.
As a result of the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed that legally outlines the close collaboration between the two institutions. The collaboration between Larkin University and Masaryk University's Faculty of Pharmacy will provide a stimulus for innovative research in pharmacology, development of drugs and therapeutic approaches. Students and researchers from both institutions will be able to share ideas and work on projects with the potential to change trends in the pharmaceutical industry.
"The Memorandum includes approval and support for exchange internships for academic staff and students who can work at partner university and bring new perspective to the research projects being carried out," says Prof. Karel Šmejkal, PharmD, PhD, Vice Dean for International Relations and Internationalisation of the Faculty of Pharmacy MU.
On Friday, 20 June, we celebrated the newest Masters of Pharmacy, our graduating class of 2025.
The Faculty of Pharmacy has a big reason to celebrate because the expected follow-up Master's degree programme: Cosmetology and Cosmetic Products has received accreditation and will be open to the first students from the autumn semester of the academic year 2026/2027. It will be primarily offered to the graduates of the Bachelor programme: Cosmetic Products, but also for other applicants with a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields of education, such as Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy or Health Sciences.
