As proud members of the European Association of Faculties of Pharmacy (EAFP), our faculty leaders joined colleagues from other European universities to share experiences and discuss challenges in not only educating the next generation of pharmacists and researchers, but the future of the whole Pharmaceutical field.
The European Association of Faculties of Pharmacy is at the forefront of developments in pharmacy education and pharmacy in a variety of professional settings, including hospital and clinical pharmacy, industrial pharmacy and pharmaceutical regulation. The EAFP serves as an international platform for its member institutions to engage in changes, plans for the future, and addressing the challenges of ensuring and maintaining the high standards achieved through quality pharmacy education and research in schools of pharmacy.
During the three-day conference, our Dean and his team of Vice-Deans also visitied the beautiful historic campus of the University of Coimbra and had the opportunity to observe one of the oldest pharmacies in Portugal.
For more than 20 years, Peter Kollár has been committed to experimental pharmacology and the mechanisms of action of the substances studied. Together with his team, he is currently looking for ways to enhance the effects of anti-tumour immunotherapy in combination with other substances.
We are proud to announce that a team consisting of David Švestka, Pavel Bobáľ and Jan Otevřel received the prestigious Vice-Rector's Award for excellent results in doctoral studies for the year 2024/2025 at a ceremony on Thursday, 6 November. These outstanding scientists carry out their research work at the Department of Chemical Drugs, where our students can meet them during their studies. We wholeheartedly congratulate them for the award and wish them continuing enthusiasm for their research, and bring you their statements outlining their work.
