One week prior to beginning of teaching in each semester, an orientation week is organized for all new international students at Masaryk University, including degree, non-degree and exchange students. During this week, new students can experience Brno, learn first words in Czech language but also get useful tips on working with Information System, tour at the faculty and so much more! Some activities are paid, but students can always choose what they need. More information can be found on the website of organizers, the Centre for International Cooperation MU.
MU ISIC card not only serves as identification card of MU students and giving you access to all MU buildings, but also provides you student discounts in 180 countries world-wide.
The card is valid for 18 months and you can get discounts on Brno public transport, meals, SIM card, insurance and many more benefits. You can also choose to buy card without possibility to receive discounts. You only need to buy re-validation stamp after expiracy of the period. If you have card from your previous study at another faculty of MU, you can use this card, and only buy re-validation stamp.
In order to be able to order ISIC card, you need to have a photo in your IS profile.
