STUDENT SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

Active participation is open to master students of Faculty of Pharmacy of Masaryk University who are interested in presenting their research in the field of pharmacy and obtaining feedback from experts in the field.

In addition, students, academics and scientists who want to listen to the presentations and be inspired can participate passively.

Note: Shared first authorship may be indicated for a paper, but students must then present together. If they win, they will split the scholarship equally.

Participants will have 10 minutes to present the results of their scientific work, followed by a 5-minute discussion. The presentations will be in English or Czech.

The expected division into sections is as follows:

• Chemical Section
• Biological Section
• Pharmaceutical Technology, Social and Clinical Pharmacy Section​

The following parameters will be evaluated by the expert committee:

• Quality of the abstract
• Clarity and level of presentation
• Compliance with the time limit for the presentation
• Student's contribution to the work
• Ability to respond in the discussion

Student Scientific Conference will take place on 2nd April 2025 in the buildings of the Faculty of Pharmacy (Palackého třída 1946/1, 612 00 Brno).

Participants who place in the top three places in their section will be awarded a financial scholarship and will be presented with a diploma. The expert committee will select representatives from the undergraduate students of our Faculty of Pharmacy for the International Round of the Student Scientific Conference (28. - 29. 4. 2025, Prague, Zentiva), which will bring together students from Faculties of Pharmacy. In addition, a representative of the Czech Pharmaceutical Society will select the paper that will be awarded the Czech Pharmaceutical Society of the Czech Pharmaceutical Society (ČLS JEP) prize.

Students who will continue their studies in the Pharmacy Faculty's doctoral programmes will be able to enrol in the course Publikační činnost and receive credits for this activity. 

At the same time, the SVK is enrolled in activities that allow students to obtain a CAS (Certificate of Active Student).

You can register for active participation from 21st March 2025 by filling in the registration form, the conference is free of charge for all participants. Registration for active participants together with the abstract submission will close on 21st March 2025.

Note: Passive participants do not need to register for the conference.
