This project focuses on the discovery of novel natural products (NPs), particularly secondary metabolites (SMs) produced by bacterial extremophiles, and their unprecedented structural and functional diversity. Shaped by the selective pressures of extreme environments, these bioactive compounds offer immense potential for biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and biomedicine. Her postdoctoral work has been dedicated to Antarctic bacteria, which provide unparalleled access to untapped biosynthetic pathways and structurally innovative molecules.
