Describe your journey to Faculty of Pharmacy
Growing up with both of my parents and my grandfather as pharmacists, the profession became a passion for me from an early age. I always dreamed of studying in Europe, and after thoroughly researching various universities, I chose Masaryk University. I was impressed by its strong academic staff, solid reputation, rising international ranking, and the comprehensive opportunities it offers. From my first day at Masaryk University until now, I’ve been truly grateful to be here. I’ve never regretted my decision,it has exceeded my expectations both academically and personally.
What do you like about your studies?
Lectures, seminars, and lab classes provide high-quality education and valuable practical experience. I can confidently say that I’ve learned a lot and genuinely enjoyed the process.
Whenever I need help, I feel comfortable asking for it, and I always receive the support I need. This makes it easier for me to stay focused and motivated throughout my studies.
What difficulties have you encountered before or after moving to Brno?
Before moving here, I expected to face major challenges such as visa issues and finding accommodation. However, the support from our study office made everything much easier. They were always there for me, often providing the information I needed even before I asked. Their quick and clear responses were a big reason I felt confident that I had made the right choice by choosing Masaryk University.
After moving, I did experience some difficulties due to the language barrier, but over time, we all adapt and get used to it.
What advice would you give to new students?
My advice is to not be afraid of the challenges that come with studying Pharmacy abroad. The university, especially the study office— and hopefully I— are supportive and will guide and help you. Stay open-minded, trust the process, and give yourself time to adapt. You’ll grow more confident each day.
