Postdoctoral Fellow in Immunology and Molecular Cell Biology of Liver Metabolic Diseases

5. 5. 2021

Starting in June 2021, a 2-year post-doctoral position funded by INCA is available at the Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers in the team “Proliferation, Stress and Liver Physiopathology” lead by Chantal Desdouets.

We are looking for an experienced, highly independent, and dynamic candidate willing to drive an ambitious project in the understanding of how DNA damage response and immunosurveillance impact on hepatocytes cell division and transformation leading to hepatocarcinoma (HCC) under metabolic diseases. Of note, HCC has one of the worst survival rates of all cancers and alarmingly, obesity epidemic will particularly accentuate its incidence. The project implicates already established collaborations, including clinical hepatology and pathology departments, and the use of cutting-edge technologies. The applicant will benefit from a highly collaborative and diverse environment at the Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers and from state-of-the-art technological platforms. The Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers is located in the center of Paris in a culturally and scientifically rich environment.

Candidates with a PhD in onco-immunology and solid background in cellular and molecular biology are encouraged to apply. Previous work in metabolism and/or murine models (accreditation for animal experimentation (Level 1). A previous experience in bioinformatics analyses would be an advantage. The candidate should be fluent in English, expected to show independent thinking and ability to drive its own research, and willing to participate to the lab’s life.

Applicants should send their CV, letter of motivation and name of 2 references.
