This project aims to strengthen the European clinical research ecosystem by supporting non-commercial sponsors conducting not-for-profit clinical trials, with a focus on addressing unmet medical needs. It will contribute to creating a more enabling and harmonised environment for clinical research and development across Europe. Support-NCS will provide targeted assistance to non-commercial sponsors to facilitate the preparation and submission of high-quality multinational clinical trial applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining scientific excellence. By promoting cross-border collaboration, the initiative will enable the generation of robust and reliable evidence through larger, well-designed clinical trials, including those in rare and ultra-rare diseases where patient populations are limited.
