On 8 December, as part of the Annual GAMU Conference, our very own Ing. Ondřej Jurček, Ph.D. et Ph.D. from Department of Natural Drugs, received an award for outstanding research results. The MUNI Scientist programme awards prizes to researchers for their outstanding results and important deeds in research at Masaryk University. The aim is to strengthen the motivation of excellent researchers at the university and promotion of MU standing in the scientific community and among the general public.
The award ceremony took place in the atrium of CEITEC MU and was attended by researchers from all ten faculties.
“We value the work of our researchers. Their research is important both to our university and to society as a whole. It is a great pleasure for me to celebrate these efforts and ideas each year,” said Šárka Pospíšilová, the Vice-rector for research and doctoral studies.

Petr Pargač hesitated for a long time between studying pharmacy and dentistry. In the end, he chose pharmacy, graduating from Masaryk University in 2022, and then set out abroad to gain experience. Today, he runs a pharmacy in a small Norwegian town 350km above the Arctic Circle.
